Speakers
Over the years we have had the privileged of having a number of good speakers.
The main speakers who have each spoken over 100 times each, they are in order of when they first started to speak at Barnabas Bible Class, you will find a bit of information about them below.
Many other good speakers have spoken at Barnabas, but for less than 25 time. So for reasons only, of not wanting to make this page too long, they are not at present on this page.

Barnabas Bible Class started on 7th September 1993. It was the joint vision of Alan Morrell and Bill Bygroves. The very first series was on The Life of Abraham.

Those early years were a blessing to many. You can still listen to some of Alan's sermons and be greatly encouraged.
Alan Morrell
Alan was the leading Elder of Long Lane Church, Allerton Liverpool, for many years and co-founder of Barnabas Bible Class in 1993. Below Alan last spoke to Barnabas from his hospital bed in October 2000 before going home to be with his Saviour.
William Bygroves (Bill)
Bill is married to Dot and has four children, Bill was the co-founder of Barnabas Bible Class with Alan Morrell in September 1993. He was the pastor of Bridge Chapel Liverpool until his retirement in 2021. Bill was a great source of blessing and encouragement to all of us at Barnabas, being responsible for 50% of the minister between 1993 to 2000. Since his retirement Bill has been kept busy providing ministry in Churches through out Merseyside.
Sydney Elliott
‘I belong to Glasgow’ – so says the song. Sydney was born and brought up in Glasgow. He moved to Liverpool in 1998 with Alison and his three sons. Daniel, Nathan and Caleb all had broad Scottish accents when they came, but not for long!
Sydney is pastor of Grace Church Halewood, Liverpool, a church plant from Bridge Chapel in 2006. Sydney has been involved with Barnabas Bible Class since November 2000.

Paul Kinnaird
Paul is married to Kay and has three children and a increasing number of grandchildren, three at the last count! He has been the pastor of Bankhall Mission, Bootle, Liverpool, since 1997, and has been blessed to be part of Barnabas from April 2003 to June 2024.

David Mountain
David is married to Millie and has three sons, he is the pastor of Beresford Road Church from 2007, (formerly known as Sailors Chapel,) in the Dingle, Liverpool, He has been at Barnabas since before 2003, and counts it a blessing to be a part of Barnabas Bible Class.
