The Apostles Creed

It is was not written by the Apostles, but built on the Apostles teachings. It was developed over time, its core teachings being completed between the years 200 and 700 AD.
Traditional it was associated with Baptism, it was taught and memorized by the new converts of the church, which was formulated to make clear to them the main teachings, of God's Word the Bible.     
This short ancient summary of the Christian Faith, is one of three founding Confessions of Belief of the Early Christian Church.   Which summaries what we believe in and trust are self to, which says.
"I believe in God the Father. Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and buried; He descended to hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended to heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, From there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit the one true Church the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the Resurrection of the body and the life everlasting.  Amen"
