Hosea - Gods Amazing Love

Hosea the author of the book, whose name means Salvation. He was a prophet to the Northern Kingdom of Israel. A contemporary of Joel, Amos, Jonah, Isaiah and Micah. In this book we get to see Gods sovereignty, and that we are accountable to Him. And that God is holy so hates sin, and God is just so He will punish sin. But God is long suffering, God has great love for his chosen people, who through Hosea He calls on them to repentance and return to Him, and be restored from their backsliding. He likens their rebellion from God to spiritual adultery. God tells Hosea too marry a whore a harlot, to illustrate to be a visual aid a picture of just what Israel was doing, by their unfaithfulness to God. Israel's the unfaithful wife and God who is loving faithful husband. In Hosea we see Christ, who gave his life to save us a rebellious people. The books all about Israel's Idolatry and shameful wickedness, which will lead to punishment being taken into captivity. But if they will repent and turn back to God, He will restore them and bless them. But if not, other nations will be called in. But O' How Amazing is God Love.
